Sprint directives

REGISTRATION

• Make sure to be registered to the event on this website!
• Show your printed registration to the steward responsible for registrations at the event
• You’ll receive your personal sprint number after your payment is checked. Please stick this number to your vehicle. Make sure it is visible to the crew-members during the sprint.

WAITING ZONE

• In this zone drivers will await the start and are not authorised to leave their vehicles. Here drivers will await the first start in their vehicles.
• This is not a parking zone for the sprinters.
• Wrongly parked cars will be towed off to ensure a smooth organisation.

START

• Please go to your car and follow the directives of the steward, who will direct you to the start.

AUTOMATIC START PROCEDURE

The sprint takes place with the help of a fully automatic and computerised start procedure.
Important part of this is the light tree, that is stationed at the left of the driver. You’ll notice the following data: - the mention “ P-STG ” the mention ” STAGE ” - lights in descending order RED RED GREEN

• The driver drives up; when the wheel aligns with the first sensor, the mention “ P-STG ” lights up. Now the driver can move his car about 20 cm forward till the mention “ STAGE ” lights up. Now the driver stops and awaits the start that takes place when both cars are correctly positioned. If the driver moves on, he will cause a false start meaning that there won’t be any registration of his data. -2/2-
• The driver waits till the lights light up in descending order (RED, RED, GREEN) and he starts at GREEN. Starting before the light turns GREEN, will register a false start (and no time registration). END

END

• You’re asked to adhere to the directives of the steward when you’re at the end of the sprint zone (after the stop zone).
• Park your car at the extreme left or the extreme right of the road until everyone belonging to your group (about 20 vehicles) has finished his stage.
• At the sign of the steward, all vehicles will return in column to the filter parking awaiting a new start (strictly adhere to the directives of the responsible steward).

Sometimes we allow drivers to drive back to the start immediatly after the run. This is only possible when we use a safe runback-route. This differs from time to time according to our track-setup.

FILTER-PARKING

• The steward will give you authorisation to leave this zone and drive to the waiting zone of the start (or to leave the sprinting zone to participate in the “show & shine”).

TIME REGISTRATION

• Following measurements and registrations will take place while sprinting:
  • reaction time (= time elapsed between start and 18 m-point)
  • speed (= measured speed between 390m & 400 m)
  • end time (= time from start to finish)
• Time registration starts when the starting light turns green
• The registration of the data will appear via:
  • the display (above the start)
  • the posted intermediate results (at the back of the sprint platform)
  • print-outs (that can be obtained at the sprint platform)
